Shortlisted for publication

August is definitely a good month for me. I received an email from the Deputy Editor of 'Photoplus' magazine (for Canon users) informing me that I have been shortlisted in a recent 'Readers Challenge'. The magazine is on sale to the public and has a circulation of around 31,000 a month. The theme was shopping and readers were asked to capture images of markets, shopping and stalls etc.

I selected a photograph I had taken in the Egyptian Bazaar (Spice Market) in Istanbul last September. It was a challenge shooting in such low light with such large crowds.

I have since sent in some copy about the circumstances to me taking the image and technical specifications. I'll update this section if I am chosen to 'go to print' - fingers crossed.
